Logistics
Logistics
In fresh produce logistics, speed is of the essence.Through our subsidiary Aspen International, we’ve devised a unique ‘door to door’ approach that enables us to get our product to our customers as quickly as possible.
- We ship almost exclusively in containers rather than on conventional reefer ships.
- We make use of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system that allows us to input voyage documentation directly into a service provider’s system.
- We have developed a self-invoicing system that enables us to invoice ourselves and pay suppliers sooner.
- We make use of two tracking tools (Iquality and Traceability) that allow us (or any of our partners) to track and trace each pallet of fruit while in transit.
It is our approach to be open and transparent, and to positively influence as much of the supply chain as we can.
